This page is to keep you up to date and informed on the new mandatory regulations that the Maryland State Board of Cosmetology has given salons. We have also added our own safety concepts for all.
Here is what you should expect at your appointment at Mineral XI:
24-48 hours before your appointment I will be sending you a questionnaire for symptoms, it is IMPERATIVE you answer honestly and return prior your appointment.

-This app will contain all of your upcoming appointment information in one place for easy access. When you arrive for your appointment.
Please park in spaces as close to the salon as possible. After you park, please type the letter “A” so that we are aware you have arrived, We will let you know when we are ready for you and will come down to open the door for you.
Personal belongings: Please do not bring any oversized bags, food, or beverages with you. (pregnant clients, please let us know)
I kindly ask you wear a face covering that goes behind your ears (NOT behind your head) I will be wearing one as well, in some cases a face shield, as well as gloves. If you forget yours we have masks available for purchase.
Before entering the studio I will do a contact-free temperature scan to ensure you do not have a fever. If you are running a fever of 100 or higher you will NOT be serviced and will be asked to wait 14 days to reschedule your appointment. appointment will have to be rescheduled for a later date.
Upon entry I ask that you wash your hands and/or use the hand sanitizer provided.
Please come to your appointment alone. Only the individual receiving the services will be allowed to enter. So please leave your children, friends, partners and pets at home.
Before/after each client I will be sanitizing and disinfecting all surfaces of my studio and entryway with an EPA registered disinfectant.
Frequently touched surfaces (bathroom) will have an extra layer of protection with barrier film, following the disinfection step.
Each client will have a fresh cape, clips, combs etc. used on them (this is standard practice for me)
The Board is allowing us to blow dry but I understand if you do not wish to have this done, please let me know before hand if you do not want this part of your service so I can plan accordingly.
All magazines will be removed at this time. (TV is still an option)
Cash transactions are permitted. however, it is a rare occurrence, so we may not always have change.
We will have very limited retail in stock for purchase. If you’d like to purchase a product please notify us and we will get it for you. QR codes to our affiliate links will also be posted. You will still be able to support our business by purchasing products online.
Mineral XI is not permitted to serve beverages at this time. However, we will have sanitized water bottles available for you.
We are accepting gratuity at this time. Prior to your complete payment, you will be asked if you'd like to leave a tip (no pressure) and you will be able to input the desired amount.
*We have invested in a high powered air purifier to keep the environment as toxin free as possible during your visit.
***If you were a client prior to COVID I understand that things have changed significantly and appreciate your understanding and patience with us during our closure, reopening and restructuring.
