is color pricing exact? 
what can I expect to pay?

Chemical services are custom design work, so we will give you an estimate after we have curated your hair plan.

We have a simplified service menu so it’s easier for you to book. All services are customized and start at a base rate, in the description of your service we go into detail on how your investment is priced.


Our prices reflect the value we add to our community. We do not cut any corners, we hold ourselves to a higher standard in this industry and we take chemical safety seriously because we do not want to harm our clients.


How do I contact you?

The method of contact is via email at hello@mineralxi.com, I'll respond to any emails within 48 business hours. 


I choose to keep my phone for personal use only. All of my booking can be done through here.

What are your hours?

Tuesday-Friday with the following hours:

Tuesday 1pm-7pm

Wednesday- Friday 9:30am-5pm

Alternating Thursdays 2pm-7pm

Why do your prices say starting at or +?

Everyone's hair is different! All services are tailored to each individual to provide the best results - depending on your hair and desired results, this can sometimes take extra product and/or extra time. Some curly haircuts are performed on very long or thick hair and take twice as much product. Some color services are more dramatic and need 4 extra bowls of color. Recent removal of a protective style  will need proper detangling and extended cleansing.  Any additional charges are to cover this product and time cost.

How should I wear my hair to my appointment?

Whether you're receiving a Curly Haircut, styling session or color service, I'll be able to provide you with the best results if you've washed your hair recently. Day 1-3 hair is required, and please make sure your hair is completely dry when you arrive to your appointment. Pease refrain from wearing your hair in a ponytail, pineapple, bun, clips etc to your appointment. Some light product in the hair is fine (please refrain from using Shea Moisture or CurlSmith leading up to your appointment). If you plan to remove a protective style right before your appointment or have not detangled your in a few days, please let me know so that timing can be adjusted to accomodate you.

how do I book an appointment?

Please schedule your appointment using our new guest application tool at jotform.com. We do not book appointments through social media, email, or phone.

I want to book an appointment but I'm unsure where to start.

Why isn't there a M.XI phone number?

We work independently from the check-in process to check out, making phone communication a challenge. Our goal is give our guests and families our undivided attention during our time spent both in salon and at home. We look forward to offering that same level of attention when we finally meet you!

Do you offer consultations?

Yes! Our consultations are 15 minutes and $25. We'll be sure to ask all the right questions so you feel at home.

Do you cut children's or men's hair? 

YES! For the littles - We’d love to set them on a path to healthy hair for life. We just ask that they be able to sit still for long periods of time and that no other siblings accompany you to the appointment so that we can teach both parent and child without interruption.

Do you offer texture altering services? 

No, we don't. At M.XI we are in the business of empowering people to embrace themselves as they are. For that reason, we do not offer perms or relaxer services.

Do you sell products in your salon?

We have a small curated lineup of retail but mainly sell on our online shop via our affiliate partners.

what is microshading?

Microshading is the newest trend in eyebrow semi-permanent makeup, which is constantly evolving in technique. It combines both Microblading and Shading, creating the best of both worlds! In addition to our signature Microblading pattern, the Shading method is similar to a traditional tattoo, which uses an application of tiny dots of pigment that is inserted into the skin. This method creates the soft, feathery headstrokes of Microblading and the fullness and definition of Shading.

what is microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that involves using tiny, fine-point needles that make up a small, disposable blade. The needle finely scratches the surface of the skin, creating featherweight strokes on the epidermis layer of the skin. 


The technique creates thin, crisp lines giving the illusion of realistic, natural hair strokes. With this technique, our artists can create a natural light finish to a bold brow look. 

what is ombre?

The ombré powder fill method is more similar to a traditional tattoo, and involves the application of thousands of tiny dots of pigment, inserted into the skin, gradually building up a colour and defined shape.

If you are someone with oily or combination skin, or who fills in your brows regularly with pencil or shadow, then this is the method for you! It mimics the look of filled in brows, without all the effort each morning.

what are lash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are used to enhance the length, curliness, fullness, and thickness of natural eyelashes. Our extensions are made from eco-friendly synthetic fibers.  Mineral XI uses the highest quality extensions to aide you in achieving your desired effect.

HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS WHILE CLEANSING MY FACE?

Avoid touching your eye area as much as possible, if you must remove your eye makeup,  A mild, low-alkaline soap is recommended as well as always using an oil-free makeup remover. Thankfully, our studio will soon be providing a lash extensions foam cleanser.

CAN I WEAR MASCARA OR STRIP LASHES WITH MY LASH EXTENSIONS?

Can I wear mascara or strip lashes with my eye lash extensions?
Lash extensions provide the luxury and convenience of not having to apply mascara or strips in order to achieve a fuller or longer look. It is not advised and may compromise the longevity and appearance of your extensions.

HOW ARE LASH EXTENSIONS APPLIED ?

Lash extensions are applied to each individual natural eyelash. The amount of extensions per natural lash is dependent upon desired fullness. The techniques that we offer are Classic and Hybrid.

APPOINTMENT DAY

Mask Requirement

Masks are to be worn at all times while you are unable to social distance. You may bring a mask that is fitted behind the ears. Or masks my be purchased in the salon for $3.00. I appreciate your considering our safety and yours in this.

Health Screening

Please complete the health screening form you will receive via email prior to your appointment. You will be able to complete it and submit it online as well. The form must be received in order to receive any services.

Please be Early

Due to the additional safety and sanitation measures opening in a pandemic late arrivals permitted. I suggest you arrive at least 5 minutes early to your appointment or more. This is to ensure I will not have to reschedule your appointment.

Do Not Enter Yet

Remain in your car and text "A", via your "Ovatu You app". we will then signal once it is time for your appointment, you will be greeted at the door.

The salon will be deep cleaned between each client and it can take up to 15-20 minutes for this process.

What to Bring in

Please leave all your bags in your car. Only essential items will be allowed in the salon at this time. You may bring in your phone, wallet/card and/or one reading material. All magazines have been removed at this time. Our TV will be available and we will gladly turn to what you'd like to watch.

Sanitized water bottles will be available.

Health Screening & Clean Hands

Temperature may be taken with a touchless thermometer. Anyone with a temperature over 100 will be have be reschedule. Upon entry into the salon, sanitizer will be provided or time to wash your hands. Please do not wear gloves into the building as they can cross-contaminate all surfaces.

Additional Guests

No additional guests are permitted to ensure we do not exceed state mandated salon capacity or risk anyones heath y not properly social distancing. Only the guest receiving a service is allowed in the facility. If a child is having a service 1 parent may be present.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

We do not accept walk-ins. We like to be completely prepared for your service prior to your arrival. However, we do offer a waitlist that allows you to be notified if your desired day/time becomes available.
Please visit our online booking portal to get on the list.

DO YOU TAKE CASH APP?

We do not accept cash app, venmo, zelle, or any other 3rd party payment methods.
Our merchant system is operated by Clover and your services are allowed to be paid by credit/debit card, apple pay (tap), invoice (with associated fees) as well as cash. We no longer accept checks.

SHOULD I SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT?

A consultation is required, as we will be able to discuss your service goals. You  will have a better idea of what is achievable and this time allows you and the service provider to get a good feel for one another. A consultation is a sure way to ensure that you’re the happiest with your end result.

ARE ALL LISTED PRICES EXACT? WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO PAY?

All prices are starting prices and are dependent on the length of the service, amount of product used, difficulty and the density and/or length of the hair.

During your consultation and/or service you will be informed if there may be additional costs. You will have the choice on whether to proceed with the services or not.

We will respond within 24-48 business hours. If you have not heard from us by then, please feel free to send a follow up email as some emails aren't always where they are supposed to be.
